4 Key Office Pantry Trends from the KeHe Summer Show

Before summer even begins, industry leaders are already forecasting the snacks that will dominate the consumer market at large. At Crafty, we make it our mission to stay ahead of the curve so you can take the best of those trends and apply them to your office pantry to keep employees energized and engaged. That’s why our snack-obsessed team recently attended the KeHe Summer Show 2025, a premier event where suppliers and brands showcase the latest innovations in breakroom snacks.

Let's meet our experts and then jump into the four trends they identified!

1. Nostalgia 2.0: Childhood Faves Get a Glow Up

Brands are tapping into childhood favorites and reimagining them with cleaner ingredients, less sugar, and more protein. We predicted that nostalgic snacks with a healthier twist would be big in pantries in 2025, and here are a few brands that stood out to our team on the show floor:

2. Hot Honey Heatwave: The Sweet & Spicy Craze

Spicy-sweet, or swicy, snacks are here to stay, and we're proud to say it's another correct pantry prediction we made coming into 2025. At the KeHe show, our team saw hot honey leading the charge in this arena. Whether it’s drizzled on crackers or infused into chips, this flavor trend isn’t cooling down anytime soon.

One standout in the swicy spotlight: Utz Mixed Minis Pretzels seasoned with Mike’s Hot Honey. This snack hits the flavor trifecta—salty, sweet, and spicy—making it incredibly satisfying and endlessly snackable. The pretzel base brings a familiar, hearty crunch, while the hot honey seasoning layers on a bold kick of heat balanced by just the right amount of sweetness. It’s a dynamic flavor profile that keeps people reaching back in for more, proving exactly why hot honey is dominating shelves right now.

3. Sip with Purpose: Functional Drinks for Focus & Calm

Workplace drinks are no longer just about hydration, but about function. Our team counted a handful of brands competing in the calming and functional beverage space, offering options designed to boost focus, relaxation, and overall wellness. Of the bunch, here are the ones that stood out:

  • Moment (An Adaptogenic Drink)
  • Recess (A Mood-Boosting Seltzers)
  • Taika (A Brain-Enhancing Coffee Alternative)

People are increasingly using what they eat and drink to achieve their personal wellness outcomes. In our trends report, we describe this as goal-based eating. Research shows that 73% of consumers seek energy support, 65% prioritize gut health, and 61% look for mental health benefits through their food and drinks. Functional beverages are rising in relevance because they help employees meet their goals with every sip.

4. Shot-Sized Wellness: Big Benefits, Tiny Bottles

Following the success of brands like Suja, health shots are making a splash. We saw a few brands showcasing nutrient-dense, single-serve shots packed with vitamins, adaptogens, and probiotics.

Research has shown that when companies offer healthy food and beverage options, employees report improvements in blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI. This not only is great to help employees achieve their wellness goals, but employers can reap the rewards of reduced healthcare costs and increased productivity.

Conclusion

The KeHe Summer Show 2025 provided us with invaluable insights into the snacking trends that are shaping the future of workplace food service. From nostalgic comfort foods to functional beverages, there’s a lot to look forward to as we refresh and expand our office pantry offerings.
